Our client a large Government organisation is looking for an Inward Payments Specialist. In this busy role you will be required to perform, and oversee the payment processing function whilst managing workflow allocation and supervising staff.
Some of the duties in this position include (and not limited to)
  • Technical functions such as customer remittances, banking, coding, handling unidentified payments
  • Coach, motivate and oversee payment processing staff to achieve team objectives
  • Delivery of accurate information and processes
  • Monitor KPIs and take appropriate action to ensure they are met
  • Ensuring all unidentified payments, receipt files, dishonours and payment transfer are completed to meet critical time frames

To be successful in this role you will:
  • Have at least 3 years experience in payment processing, or banking
  • Be familiar with the New Zealand legislative and statutory environment
  • Have staff management experience
  • Be a strong team player, enthusiastic and have great verbal communication and technical skills
  • Experience with SAP and Pathway would be advantageous
