Our client manufactures and produces steel profiles for a variety of projects and businesses throughout New Zealand. They are on the lookout for an experienced Computer Draughtsman who is experienced in creating 2 dimensional shapes for multiple plate processing machines.

Reporting to a Senior Draughtsman and Workshop Manager you will have qualifications and experience with AutoCAD, mechanical aptitude, preferable plate processing experience and a minimum of 2 years mechanical draughting experience working within a fast paced production workshop. Current software used is Sigmanest.

As well as the above skills, we are looking for somebody who is reliable, punctual, works well under pressure and towards deadlines, a sound team player and one who can work quickly and efficiently with minimum supervision.

Our company Supplies, installs, services and maintains cinema projection and sound equipment New Zealand wide. We also supply to Post Production, Theme Parks and Attractions.
This unique and varied role involves all aspects of installation, demonstration, customer training and support for Digital / Film Projection systems, Media Playback and Storage Servers, Screens, Sound Systems and Automation integration. Some specialized training will be supplied. Electronics / IT background and good knowledge of computers is essential. You will be rostered for On Call work and some out of town work will be required.
Candidate overview:-
Minimum 5 years permanent installation experience. Exceptional team leadership skills. Set day to day tasks for on-site team. Experience in managing site safety procedures. Liaise with project manager ensuring all jobs are finished to specification and on time with the highest standard of quality. Strong problem solving skills. Able to effectively & professionally communicate with builders/clients etc Understand complex system design diagrams/floor plans etc. Experience with IT system integration solutions. Neat rack wiring ability. Experience in fitting off all AV cable and plate terminations. Cable running and management experience. Mounting of Projectors, Projection Screens, Flat Screen Displays etc Experience with professional installed sound solutions (i.e. Setting up DSPs, Room EQ & Mixers).
Commissioning and fault finding.
Electronic PCB repairs to component level.

To be successful you will present well, have a strong customer service focus and a high standard of workmanship and enjoy working in a team.
Must hold a current driving license and have NZ residency or a valid NZ work permit and an excellent command of the English Language.
