The Auckland Womens Centre (www.awc.org.nz) is a vibrant feminist community agency promoting the empowerment and well-being of women. We provide a range of services, and work in collaboration with other community agencies to advocate collectively for womens rights.
Social Worker role please seejob description
To provide intensive, holistic, family/whanau/fanau-centred case management with predominantly Maori and/or Pasifika women and their families.
Hours and conditions
The position is for 20 hours a week at a rate of 26.73 per hour. The Auckland Womens Centre will provide external social work supervision, appropriate cultural supervision, a warm and collegial working environment, mileage re-imbursement at the AA rate and five weeks annual leave. The funding for this position finishes on 28 Feb 2013, but we will be seeking funding to continue the project. The successful applicant will start asap.
