Improving public safety is at the heart of the Department of Corrections work.We have a diverse operating environment which includes the Finance, Systems and Infrastructure (FSI) group.This group leads the delivery of high quality financial services to the organisation and drives performance improvement.
The Community Probation Services and parts of Rehabilitation & Reintegration Services require the support of a Business Services Manager.This is a challenging and fulfilling role working within this large Public Sector Organisation reportingto the Regional Finance & Business Planning Manager.
To truly shine in this role you will need to be proactive, resilient, have dynamic relationship management skills and be able to successfully manage two area offices while exceeding the expectations of a wide range of stakeholders.
You will have a strong background in data analysis and finance with proven experience of managing, coaching and developing finance and administration staff.
You will be leading two teams based in Christchurch and Dunedin.
Key deliverables include:
- the provision of financial, analytical and administrative support to operational managers
- providing quality financial and non financial reporting to stakeholders, including head office, area, regional and local managers
- strong leadership and staff management of finance and administration staff
This role can be based in either Dunedin or Christchurch as you manage teams in both. Travel is an important component of this role.
