New Zealand Red Cross is looking for a capable Trainer to work in schools and with community groups to deliver our national programmes in the Manawatu area.
- People Saver programme – four-hour first aid course designed to be delivered in schools to years 6 to 8.
- Save-a-Mate programme – 90 minute course interactive workshop designed to encourage and empower young people to act in real time to save a mate. Target group 14-19 year olds.
The position involves:
- Promoting and building awareness of our programmes to targeted groups within the community.
- Delivering of the programmes.
- Ordering and maintaining course materials
- Follow up with post-course paperwork including issuing certificates and filing course information.
We are looking for someone who has an interest in first aid and can demonstrate competence as a trainer in order to deliver the programme to required Red Cross standards.
