Foundation for Youth Development (FYD) Hawke’s Bay is a charitable trust passionate about delivering fantasticoutcomes oriented,high quality youth development programmes into selected schools in Hawkes Bay.
KiwiCan, Project K and Stars are Foundation for Youth Development (FYD) programmes designed to lift the skills, motivation and achievement of young New Zealanders. FYD Hawkes Bay requires an enthusiastic and highly motivated person to coordinate delivery of these programmes and start making a difference in young peoples lives.
This is a pivotal role reporting to the Regional Manager. Looking to start in mid-January, this person will be responsible for:
- Coordinating programme delivery in Hawkes Bay
- Leading and managing the delivery of the Project K programme including facilitating the Project K mentor network
- Coaching and support of two Kiwi Can Leaders
- Developing relationships in the community and promoting FYD programmes
- Key liaison role with schools and mentors
You will have great communication andfacilitation skills, team leadership experience and excellent organisational and administration skills.
The ideal person would have an understanding or interest in the education system and/or previous experience, knowledge or qualifications in child development, training, teaching or Social Services and be passionate about creating a supportive environment for both the Project K Mentor network, and the Kiwi Can Leaders.
