Be the second in charge of this newly developing Risk and Assurance team within a large well-developed government department.
We are looking for a risk/audit/assurance professional with very strong (and proven) analytical and report writing skills.
Main duties:
- Review and evaluate existing processes and systems for accuracy and integrity and assess if risk is effectively managed
- Assess compliance with legislative requirements and departmental policies and procedures
- Recommend appropriate high quality solutions, improvements and enhancements which further the achievement of goals and objectives, through enablement of improved organisational performance and risk management
- Follow up activities to ensure that agreed review recommendations and actions are implemented.
It is very important that we find the right personality for this role as there is a lot of direct relationship management with various levels of staff. Someone who is professional, friendly, vibrant and confident would be ideal.
There is a minimum of 4 years audit or risk experience required along with a CA or Internal Audit qualification.
