WHAT’S ON OFFER
As a result of on-going business growth within our Managed Services Division, Fujitsu has an opportunity in Wellington for a Senior Systems Engineer. This role will sit on-site at one of our corporate clients and assist with achieving goals specified in the customers 3 5 year road map. The role will require high quality delivery of service, working closely with other team members to ensure that customer requirements are understood and that, solutions to improve efficiencies are planned and implemented.
The role is diverse and requires you to have a strong Wintel technical focus. Knowledge of VMware and Microsoft Exchange, together with the ability to build and maintain relationships with team members will form part of your skill set.
You might also have a background that includes transition projects, providing accurate, concise and timely internal and customer reports. Providing on-the-job training for less experienced Systems Engineers, systems management and reactive systems support, through response to incidents logged on the call management system.
WHAT DO WE WANT FROM YOU?
- Five years experience or more in IT Technical Operations or Technical Project Delivery
- Proven experience supporting successful installations, projects and/or proposals, in a Wintel environment
- Technical capability must include advanced MS Exchange, VMware, Citrix, experience with WSU and other Windows based productivity tools (automation experience would be beneficial) TCP/IP networking in a Windows environment, Active Directory, Microsoft IIS and high alibility solutions using clustering technologies.
- Self direction and a strong customer focus are required
- Excellent communication, analytical and problem solving skills
- MCSE qualification
- ITIL Service Delivery and Service Management to foundation level
- A relevant tertiary qualification
