We are seeking an Image Analyst to join our growing team at the Geospatial Intelligence Organisation (GIO). Located at Devonport Naval Base, Auckland, GIO is responsible for providing mission-critical geospatial information to the New Zealand Defence Force.Working within a dynamic environment, the successful applicant will be providing imagery intelligence products and expertise in support of GIO’s mission. This will include the exploitation of imagery and the development and dissemination of multi-sensor imagery products.Experience with Imagery and Geospatial software (e.g. ESRI, Erdas, RemoteView & SOCET GXP) is essential, as is attention to detail, accuracy, excellent communication skills and the ability to show initiative. Colour vision and stereoscopic acuity (depth perception) is required, as is the ability to pass an Image Analyst aptitude test.Liaison with the NZDF community, international military agencies and Government Departments will be required and the ability to obtain and maintain a high level security clearance is essential for this role.Please note: Applicants must be legally entitled to work in New Zealand and be able to obtain and maintain the required NZDF security clearance. Because a security clearance is required for the role, applicants must be New Zealand citizens, or have resided in New Zealand for a minimum of 5 years, or have been citizens of the UK, Canada, Australia or the USA for 10 years or more.
