The Department of Accounting, Economics and Finance within the Faculty of Commerce at Lincoln University, New Zealand, is seeking to recruit a Professor / Associate Professor of Accounting and Finance.The Department of Accounting, Economics and Finance strives for excellence in teaching, research, and professional development in accounting, economics and finance. The Department delivers a professionally accredited accounting programme at the undergraduate, graduate and postgraduate levels. Accounting, economics and finance staff are encouraged to participate in academic and applied research projects.Lincoln University is located in Lincoln, an attractive, rapidly growing and culturally diverse town located in Selwyn District just outside Christchurch, New Zealand’s second largest city. Selwyn District has the fastest growing population in New Zealand. The campus offers easy access to the business community, and cultural centre of Christchurch city. Pristine beaches, snow-capped mountains and stunning rivers are within easy reach of Lincoln.Candidates must have demonstrated ability to provide leadership in accounting and finance research, teaching, and curriculum development. All areas of research and teaching emphasis will be considered. Research and teaching focused on agribusiness, innovation commercialisation, natural resources, sustainability, will be an advantage. A PhD, strong record of research including gaining external funding, postgraduate mentoring capability, and the capacity to develop relationships with staff in all departments in the Faculty of Commerce, industry and professional associations are key attributes for this position. You must have the ability to identify research opportunities and encourage and lead their realisation.An attractive remuneration package reflecting the skills and experience of the successful applicant will be negotiated.
