NZ Writers’ College is an online writing school offering 25 specialist writing courses. Our tutors have collectively wonmore than40 international writing awards.
We are currently looking for additional staff in the following fields:
1. Fiction (particularly children’s fiction, aged 8 to 12 years)
2. Magazine Journalism
3. Poetry
Tutoring requirements:
Tutors can work from anywhere. The positions are part-time, and an important prerequisite is reliable Internet access.
Tutors are responsible for:
- Marking student assignments
- Guiding students through their courses
- Mentoring students as they write their own manuscript/articles/scripts/poems.
Please note: We only employ award-winning (or award-nominated) writers as our tutors.
Experience:
- At least five years’ experience as a writer.
- At least four books published, or articles/short stories/poemspublishedin four mainstream publications.
Salary range:
Hours are part-time and dependant on the number of students; the hourly rate equates to approximately NZ $70 per hour.
