Mediterranean Shipping Company Pty Limited is the Worlds largest privately owned container shipping line.We are presently looking for a National Booking Officer to join the National Bookings team based in Christchurch. This team coordinate and enter all New Zealand Export bookings.Role responsibilities include: Bookings to be entered and amended in accordance with procedures and time frames Process electronic bookings and update in internal system Advise client services of all new hazardous bookings, for process and approval Enter bookings for Out Of Gauge cargo and confirm with the Capacity department Advise operations department of on-going export container and equipment requirements Liaise with management on any client developments that will affect their departments Update Customer Relationship Management database Liaise with Regional departments to ensure all forward bookings are accounted for and client allocations are correct. Run relevant cross checks for bookings, process and correct as required Advise Regional departments of expired rates when applicable The successful applicant will possess the following skills and experience: Practical experience and proven track record in creating and inputting export bookings Strong data entry skills and high attention to detail Ability to work under pressure and to strict deadlines 1 2 years practical experience in Shipping preferred Experience and proven track record of excellence in customer service A high level of oral, written and active listening skills with the ability to liaise at all levels Excellent organization and time management skills A high level of Microsoft Office skillsIn return, we will provide you with a challenging and satisfying customer focused role, with learning and development, and career progression opportunities.
