Buller Coal Ltd is New Zealand’s newest mining venture. Moving towards their future production plans, they are seeking an efficient Consenting Officer to help ensure they are working in line with their statutory obligations and are maintaining the highest standard of environmental performance. Reporting to the Environmental Manager and coming from an intermediate consent planning background, you will bring a fresh outlook to the business, dedicated to achieving results in a challenging industry. Your ability to communicate effectively with various levels of staff and regulators to get the results you need will see you achieve company objectives and timeframes.With a relevant tertiary background andexperience with consenting processes and providing input into district and regional plans, will see you add expertise to their consenting process. You will have an established knowledge of the Resource Management Act 1991 and preferably the Conservation Act and Crown Minerals Act. You will need to demonstrate an ability to integrate data collection into concise reporting for both internal and external consenting and reporting requirements, driving the progress of Buller Coal developments into the future.
