Whakatane, Bay of Plenty EastPermanent Full Time 1.0 Vacancy We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Speech-Language Therapist to join our 0-21 team. We provide a friendly and supportive work environment with an excellent professional network, with the added benefit of a beautiful coastal lifestyle.Applications are invited from therapists with a recognised qualification in Speech-Language Therapy and who are eligible for membership of NZSTA.The successful applicant will have:
- The ability to work in a multi-disciplinary team towards mutual goals and outcomes
- Skills to establish and maintain effective working relationships with parents, families and whanau, educators and other s working in the community
- An ability to plan and manage time effectively to meet goals and objectives
- Excellent written and oral skills
- An ability to work in a rapidly changing environment
- Recent successful experience working with Maori students and their whanau
- A knowledge of the New Zealand school and pre-school curricula
- A full and current driver’s licence
- Practical skills in Te Reo Maori and Tikanga Maori would be an advantage.
