A new initiative has arisen for an experienced Family/Whanau Worker in South Auckland to work with families who are experiencing Family conflict. This is a unique collaboration; between Iosis Family Solutions and Te Hononga – Family Works Northern; to pilot a combined venture.The successful candidate will utilise the established community links of both organisations to engage families, and help strengthen skills and resilience for positive change around violence and abuse.If you have skills in:
- Engaging family/whanau in ways that are respectful, culturally appropriate and whanau centred
- Working with families affected by multiple issues including domestic violence and child abuse
- Safety and risk assessment, leading to sound planning and goal setting with the family
- Developing group learning opportunities for families
- Facilitating whanau hui, and professionals meetings
- Are registered or eligible for registration with SWRB/NZAC
- Have outstanding communication and people skills
- Demonstrate initiative and creative approaches to professional practice.
