My client is moving over 10,000 containers per month and is on the look out for an additional despatcher. You will be joining a team of 2 day despatchers and working closely with the customer service team, drivers, clients and Ports so communication is paramount.
Role will include:
- Organising and planning the drivers runs for the days
- Ensuring the paperwork is correct and containers are released at the Wharf
- Advising clients and customer service of any delays with containers
- Monitoring traffic and keeping all parties up to date with eta’s, delays, inspections, holds etc
Key attributes / criteria:
- Experience handling containers and despatching around the Auckland metro region
- Team player who is proactive and able to communicate at all levels
- Able to use computer systems and juggle various tasks at one time
The ideal candidate will come from the container industry and know the requirements when taking containers off the wharf.
Hours / Days – Monday to Friday, 6am starts
Salary: paying above average for a senior despatcher as its a specialist role in the container industry
