12 month fixed term contract position.IDEA Services is the largest provider of community based services for people with an intellectual disability, providing services across the country. We aim to empower, include, and support people, and to be responsive to their needs and goals.We are seeking a project manager to develop and fully implement a sub project of our Alternative Residential Living Options Project, which is based on our commitment to provide sustainable and responsive living options that meet the needs of individuals and their families.Reporting directly to the General Manager, Northern Region and an active member of a small project team, you will be responsible for planning and implementing the concepts and principles of supported living within the context of a group home model.This is an exciting project that aims to provide living support that maximises the safe involvement of people with an intellectual disability in their communities from a person-centred approach.You will have a successful project management background, and demonstrated knowledge and experience in working with people with disability support needs in community settings. Excellent relationship management and written and oral communication skills are essential, as is the ability to coach and mentor others in positive practices that promote the well-being of people with disabilities. An understanding of the concepts of Active Direct Support would be useful. You have drive and persistence, and enjoy working cooperatively to achieve goals.
