Were looking for someone who shares this passion to join our team based at our Hutt site on a 12 month fixed term contract starting in January 2012.
The role of Social Worker is varied and rewarding, and youll be part of a supportive team who are fully committed to achieving positive change for the children, young people and their families in this diverse and vibrant community.
As a Child, Youth and Family social worker, youll work with other social services, agencies and providers to ensure the needs of the child or young person and their family are fully met.A social work qualification that is recognised by the social work registration board is required for this position.
  • The successful applicant will also be able to demonstrate: Well developed interpersonal skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proven ability to work in culturally appropriate ways
  • An ability to exercise sound judgment in challenging situations
  • Resilience
  • Good computer skills
  • Acurrent drivers license
  • Effective planning and time management skills
