To provide storage management services, support and product expertise for the implementation and ongoing support of backups and storage solutions across various customer accounts.The services provided include but are not limited to the follow: Install and manage storage solutions. Provide the highest level of technical support, guidance and direction for products supported. Analyse and resolve escalated problems. Audit application backup policies and environments to ensure integrity of the backup and recovery activities. Participate in the recovery of application environments where required. Development and maintenance of backup and storage standards, procedures, policies Upgrade and maintain backup solutions. Ensure integrity of supported environment. Provide team leader with input re projects/directions when required Manage and resolve problems identified by system administrators or monitoring software Work with change and problem management tools Provide technical assistance to the other members of the team. Hardware /software fault detection and correction – vendor liasing Liase with customer accounts as required 24* 7 support. Analyse and resolve escalated problems within target. Provide technical guidance in respect of product usage, techniques across functional areas. Actively participate in the planning and implementation of storage and backup solutions. Investigate, identify and document proposals that will improve application recoverability. Investigate, identify, document and implement technical standards as required.
