Our client is a well established technology start up based on the North Shore. They have developed a niche in the global internet security and internet monitoring field that has taken the world by storm. With a high level of success in taking their products to market they are now looking to expand their growing development team as they move to further develop the technologies to maintain their competitive edge.Working with a skilled solutions Architect, as a member of a growing development team you will be involved from the applications design phase through development, testing and delivery of appropriate and effective solutions. These development projects will involve you at the very sharp edge of solutions design in the internet security, traffic monitoring and communications technology.These roles will appeal to talented and ambitious Java developers who are keen to work on exciting and challenging projects as part of a very successful and expanding company.Our client is looking for Java developers with a good level of commercial experience around two years plus who are familiar with APIs. You will hold a relevant degree and be familiar with general software engineering practices. Ideally you will be experienced with build systems, source control systems, databases, web servers and scripting languages.We are seeking a team player who works cooperatively and in consultation with users, other development staff and testers. You will require strong verbal and written communication skills. Knowledge of automated tests tools such as JUnit or TestNG, relational database design and SQL, including optimising queries and indexes, web markup languages and techniques including HTTP, HTML, CSS, Javascript, JSON, AJAX and some knowledge ofTCP/IP protocol suite.These opportunities will provide you with, challenging, interesting projects, excellent career development and a place in a happy motivated and expanding team.
