MRT Clinical Specialist Emergency Radiology
The MRT Clinical Specialist role in Emergency Radiology is central to the effective delivery of radiology service to the Emergency Department and the Acute Planning Unit. Applications are requested from experiencedMedical Radiation Technologistswith excellent technical skills for the position of Clinical Specialist Medical Radiation Technologist Emergency Radiology, Auckland City Hospital. As the Clinical Specialist MRT you will need to work autonomously to lead an MRT team committed to providing a high standard of service to the Emergency Department and the wider hospital. Management skills will be required to work collaboratively with other members of the wider multidisciplinary team.Key tasks include:
- Provide Clinical and technical leadership, monitoring standards of practice
- Coordinate day to day operations and service delivery to Auckland City Hospital Emergency Department, Acute Planning Unit and wider hospital.
- Setting up and maintenance of appropriate processes in conjunction with Team Leader and other Clinical Specialists
- Review of clinical protocols and responsibility for compliance
- Responsibility for Quality Assurance within the areas
- On-going training and education for staff.
The position is permanent35hrs per week. Professional development is encouraged and supported.Essential:
- Experienced Radiographer- minimum 5 years experience
- Registration with New Zealand MRT Board with current Annual Practising Certificate
- Experience in a leadership role within a multi-disciplinary team
