Located adjacent to the grounds of the Ellerslie Racecourse and Convention Centre, just 10 minutes to Aucklands CBD with easy motorway access.
The hotel‘s food and beverage outlets include Acacia Restaurant and Garden Bar and six conference rooms.
We are recruiting for a Porter to join our team at Novotel & Ibis Auckland Ellerslie. This is an ideal role, for a hospitality minded individual.
As a key member, you will be representing our friendly and professional service philosophy:
- assist guests with queries on places of interest, directions, dining options, transport, weather etc
- transfer, storage and handling of guest luggage and property
- park and retrieve guest cars as requested
- deliver VIP gifts to guests rooms
You will be a confident and enthusiastic person that posses excellent customer service skills as well as having the knowledge to deal with difficult situations by thinking quickly on your feet to reach a successful end result.
Essential requirements for this role include:
- Previous experience within Front Office or within a Hotel setting
- Excellent command of both written and spoken English
- Passion for delivering outstanding customer service
- Great attention to detail
- Full New Zealand drivers license can drive both manual and automatic vehicles
- Flexibility with your availability particularly evenings& weekends
The successful candidate will be meticulously well presented, confident and highly organised. You should be self motivated and self disciplined and have a natural ability to work within a team environment. Previous experience in a similar role is preferable
