Auckland District Health Board (ADHB) continues to be a leader and champion in the recognition and development of professional groups that come under the broad collective of the Allied Health, Scientific & Technical professions (1,746 FTE), and the creation of this exciting new leadership opportunity is a truly major development for the sector. ADHB is one of the largest quality health providers in New Zealand offering a wide range of primary, secondary, tertiary and quaternary services to around 1.6 million people in the northern region as well as nationally for specific specialities.Tasked with driving positive change across the spectrum of clinical governance and service quality for the wide range of scientific and technical professions (1,040 FTE) in particular, the successful candidate will become a real champion for this increasingly recognised group of professions, right through to a national level of influence. The role will also have specific accountability for high quality clinical service delivery for a group of defined clinical service portfolios. Reporting to, and working in close partnership with the Executive Director of Allied Health, Scientific & Technical, you will really lift the bar on the development of policy, strategy, overall clinical governance and service delivery; not only for ADHB but also impacting on a broader basis, in accordance with ADHBs influence on a wider stage. Success in this new position could lead to a range of career path options within ADHB.To compliment the experience mix within the team, a clinical background from a Scientific or Technical profession is strongly preferred.
