The Canterbury Earthquake Recovery Authority (CERA) was established by the Government in April to lead and coordinate the ongoing recovery effort in greater Christchurch following the devastating earthquakes of September 2010 and February 2011. It is working with the wider community to deliver integrated and timely decision making across a range of public and private sector organisations.Our Strategy and Planning team are keen to receive applications from experienced Advisors who are interested in short and long duration fixed-term or secondment positions ideally based in Christchurch. The Advisor/Senior Advisor will advise and report to the Manager, Strategy and Planning. This position will develop policy, implement strategy and develop, implement and monitor plans that set direction, goals and priorities and timeframes, in line with the overarching draft Recovery Strategy.To be successful in this role you will network and consult with various external stakeholders including local government and Ngai Tahu, engaging effectively with central government. These roles will also work across CERA groups, coordinating with the Project Management Office so that strategy and plans are effectively integrated across the key recovery areas.We are seeking applications from Advisors with experience working across both central and local government processes. You will ideally demonstrate local knowledge and operational expertise, in addition to technical knowledge of the Resource Management Act, the Land Transport Management Act and Building Code.These opportunities present a unique opportunity to join a skilled and passionate team committed to making a real difference for all who live and work in greater Christchurch.These roles are to be based in Christchurch.
