Looking for a new challenge where your contribution makes a difference? We are seeking a motivated, suitably experienced Policy Advisor to join our team, based out of our Wellington office. This is a permanent full time position.Federated Farmers of New Zealand is the largest and most influential rural advocacy organisation in the country. We play a leading role in rural policy issues at both national, regional and district levels. This is your chance to influence the key drivers for how farming takes shape in New Zealand. It is a pivotal role that provides policy advice encompassing environmental and regional issues that impact on the rural sector, most importantly at the interface between farmers and local and regional Government. As a key member of our policy team you will use your strong analytical and exceptional communication skills combined with a strong can do attitude to provide sound advice to our members and to interact with key decision makers.You must have strong interpersonal skills, be a real self starter and building and fostering real connections between you and the people you interact with is a critical skill. A relevant tertiary qualification and experience in resource management or local government planning, or law, or a discipline relevant to policy analysis or the agriculture sector is essential.
