We are looking for an experienced Energy Analyst to help manage the increasing demands of the business to ensure its continuing success. Ideally, your background will include 2-3 years’ experience in an analyst position in the broader energy sector or similar, you will be tertiary qualified and be able to demonstrate excellent analytical skills and have the ability to write concise readable reports of a technical nature. Specific exposure to the petroleum sector is desirable but not essential as training will be provided with a view to you developing into a specialist advisory or consulting role within the business in the future.
This position is a newly created role within the organisation and your primary responsibilities will include:
- Support H&T’s consultants and directors in providing analysis and advice to a diverse range of clients on varied energy issues
- Analyse crude and product price trends and provide support for H&T’s subscription based web service – New Zealand Fuel price Monitor
- Analyse energy statistics to produce reports and models for use within the business and for H&T’s clients
- Assist in managing H&T’s ongoing coordination services to oil producing companies
- Further develop and market H&T’s fuel procurement and pricing services to commercial users of petroleum fuels
