As a key member of this professional, dedicated team at Manaaki House Community Mental Health Centre, youll be assessing and managing the needs of Service Users that are referred to the service with an acute mental health presentation and increased risk. CAS provides a comprehensive range of therapeutic treatment options offering and providing intensive home support to Service Users and their families / whanau as an alternative to in patient admission.
You’ll bestimulated and challenged as Manaaki House has a reputation for being innovative in service delivery as well as supportive around ongoing staff development.
There are permanent and fixed term positions available.
For the permanent role, experience in community mental health and a working knowledge of, and / or experience in crisis/acute work within a community mental health teamare required.
The fixed term position is until May 2012 and although relevant experience will be an advantage, we would be keen to consider this as an opportunity for those with less experience to develop their skills in this supportive team.
High level of time management and organisational skills required. As it is community based, it’s essential that you have afull and clean NZ driver’s licence.
These roles are open to NZ registered Mental Health Nurses, Social Workers, Occupational Therapistsand Clinical Psychologists. You will be working a fully rotating roster including early late and night shiftsMonday to Sunday, based in Panmure.
