We have an exciting new part-time vacancy that has become available in our Community Projects team. The intent of this role is to promote and advocate zero waste within our District by implementing sustainable initiatives and services to achieve key objectives from our Waste Management and Minimisation Plan.The successful candidate will be highly motivated and out-going and will have the ability to create appealing and marketable waste minimisation campaigns to positively influence change within our community.The key responsibilities for this position include:
- Developing and implementing specific initiatives to achieve waste minimisation
- Engaging and promoting waste minimisation with key stakeholders and local communities
- Monitoring, researching and reporting on programmes to ensure successful outcomes
The key skills required for this role include:
- Knowledge of waste management ideology
- Previous experience in marketing and communications
- Excellent interpersonal and time management skills
- Self motivation
