Vacancy 5565We are on the look out for an enthusiastic teacher who is passionate about the environment to deliver our Learning Through Action environmental education programme andCivil Defence & Emergency Management education programme to schools. The position offers the opportunity to work in both indoor and outdoor environments providing authentic hands on and interactive learning for students.In this exciting and stimulating position, you will get the chance to teach at various locations including Council parks, waterways and waste sites.You will be able to: Develop, implement, deliver and evaluate quality educational programmes. Establish new and maintain working relationships with teachers and tailor programmes to meet their needs. Be a team player who can relate well to other staff, teachers and students. If you are a trained primary or secondary teacher, with a minimum of two years experience in the classroom and have an interest in Education for Sustainability and how this links to the New Zealand Curriculum, then we are looking for you!Applications close on Sunday 9 October 2011.
