Our Publishing group seeks an editing professional whose focus will be on developing engaging, factually correct, research-based health information materials. You must be highly proficient in writing and editing in plain language for a range of audiences, and ideally will have a background in health education or health literacy. Are you the person we are looking for?As Editor, you will: Read, appraise, and intelligently critique texts and information; ensure content is accurate and reshape as necessary; refine writing so that it is correct, clear, and meets style requirements Work on print and digital media projects, with a focus on developing health literacy materials in New Zealand and for overseas markets Understand current priorities in public health education, with a proven ability to develop materials to support these needs Work closely with project managers, senior editors, designers, and consultants to achieve a finished product that meets specifications and client expectations Collaborate effectively with project team members and the wider Learning Media company, as well as with clients, writers, and researchers Understand how various media can best support people of all ages, whanau and communities to enhance their learning and engagement in health information materials Achieve quality results within time and budget constraints.This is an exciting opportunity to join an organisation where people are committed to success through teamwork, and where youll have the chance to contribute your ideas, knowledge and passion for learning.
