Midwife Specialist, High Risk Wards 96/98

Wards 96/98 is a 44 bedded antenatal and postnatal ward, caring for women with complex obstetric problems or medical conditions that complicate the pregnancy. We currently have a permanent part-time (0.6FTE) vacancy for a Midwife Specialist to join our team. Hours of work will be Wednesday to Friday, 0800 to 1630.

The Midwife Specialist is an instrumental part of the multidisciplinary team, responsible for provision of specialist midwifery care and co-ordination of maternity services in partnership with women across all settings.

You will:

  • have varied and extensive experience in Midwifery
  • demonstrate strong leadership ability
  • effective communication and people skills
  • be committed to ongoing personal and professional development

You’ll be a real people person, managing relationships in order to get the best out of people. Remaining calm under pressure is a highly desired attribute. Completion of the Complex Care Course would be advantageous, though not essential.
