ChangeMakers Refugee Forum has a vacancy for a Youth Development Coordinator to continue our work with refugee-background youth across the Wellington region.
The main areas of responsibility are:
- Coordinating the development and implementation of the Youth Action Plan
- Leading the Youth section of the Wellington Regional Action Plan for Refugee Health and Wellbeing.
- Overseeing the development and production of a Youth Awareness Project.
- Running youth workshops that inform young people of their rights and how to claim these rights.
- Producing The Young ChangeMakers Wire, an e-newsletter for refugee-background youth which aims to keep them connected and informed of upcoming opportunities and events in Wellington.
You will be working with former refugees and their communities, as well as refugee organisations and agencies in the Wellington region.
