An exciting opportunity is available for a Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS) to join the service. The Colorectal Service is located across two areas including Surgical, Ward 4A, and the Gastroenterology Unit. Ward 4A specialises in upper and lower GI and colorectal surgery dealing in both elective and acute surgical admissions. Our Gastroenterology unit provides both outpatient and inpatient endoscopy services including elective and emergency procedures.
The successful candidate will have experience in Colorectal with an interest in furthering education within this specialty. As a CNS you will promote quality nursing care through research based practise and be responsible for patient care and improvement of quality initiatives. You will be working alongside consultants, educating and sharing knowledge with patients and staff and be a role model within the specialty.
We are looking for a positive and confident registered nurse who has the drive and enthusiasm to motivate staff and engage them in their clinical development; you will be a respected professional in your own right, and an exceptional team player with strong communication skills.
