We provide independent quality assurance to the food and agricultural sectors.Seed Analysts, based at our Palmerston North laboratory, carry out seed identification, purity analysis and germination testing, moisture, vigour and viability testing on a range of temperate arable crop seeds from throughout New Zealand.We are looking for Trainees to join our experienced laboratory team. Initially the role is for a fixed term of approximatelysix to eightmonths commencing beginning of November 2011. Full training and support is provided. Trainees who feel they could make a career of seed testing, and who clearly demonstrate an aptitude for this work, may then apply for a potential permanent position.Successful applicants will need to demonstrate good verbal and written English language skills, and neat handwriting. You should have good eyesight, a good eye for detail, a steady hand, and good manipulation skills.
