Reporting to the Sales Manager Civil & Rural, the Territory Manager is part of a small national high performing team nurturing sales through servicing the infrastructure market with exposure to plumbing and building merchants and other outlets. The volume and range of products, different types of merchants, and numbers of diverse relationships provide stimulating complexity.
A good track record of achievement in territory management for industrial or building products is important as well as strong relationships with the consulting, architectural and the specifier channels. In addition, it is desirable to have either a technical qualification or technical aptitude that has been demonstrated previously in your career or experience as a sales engineer. Key KPIs are built around customer satisfaction and account management as well product specification.
Considerable autonomy exists in the role so effective personal disciplines and initiative is essential. At the same time the role requires close collaboration with a wide range of people so excellent interpersonal skills are vital. A few nights overnight travel per month is involved.
