Are you a trade-qualified carpenter with broad experience in the building industry? Would you gain satisfaction from passing your skills and knowledge on to others in a training environment?
Corrections Inmate Employment (CIE) is all about giving prisoners the opportunity to gain skills and work experience to increase their chances of obtaining employment after release.
CIE is looking for a qualified carpenter to be an Instructor in its housing construction yard at Spring Hill Corrections Facility. You will be instructing and training prisoners, working on both renovations and constructing new dwellings.
As an Instructor, you have the opportunity to pass on your skills and make a difference to the lives of prisoners. By working closely with selected prisoners, you will be supporting them to learn new skills, gain work experience and assist them to achieve industry recognised qualifications. Ultimately you will be providing prisoners with an opportunity to pursue a career upon their release.
