Our client is a highly respected, not-for-profit, community based organisation that has broad and far reaching involvement with our communities and lifestyle in New Zealand.The organisation owns and manages a large portfolio of property, assets and investments that equates to a medium sized commercial business. A board of trustees act as guardians of this portfolio.The Executive Officer is a newly created senior management role. It will become the interface between the trustees and wider organisation and be responsible for:- maintaining and enhancing the business model and monitoring operational performance- providing guidance and specialist advice to the trustees and various committees either directly or by engaging outsourced specialists- effectively working with stakeholders to ensure the delivery of sound commercial outcomes- managing financial and physical resources- effectively managing people and providing advice and support to others across the organisation- identifying, planning and project managing improvements to systems and processes; in particular paper-based to electronic- overseeing and managing administrative and secretarial support for various management committees.To be effective in this role, you will be tertiary qualified in economics, business, accounting or law. You will have held a senior management role within a commercial environment and be capable of providing sound advice and recommendations to a Board and Executive Management. You will have proven experience working with assets/investments/property transactions at a senior strategic level.You will be personable and be comfortable engaging positively with people from top to bottom and across the organisation.This is an exciting opportunity to take ownership of this newly created role.
