If you are a people person, with well developed leadership and management skills and a passion for sustainability and the New Zealand environment, then this role may be for you!Due to impending retirement, we are seeking to replace our current site manager at Palmerston North. In addition to building and maintaining a sense of community at our site, the successful applicant will use their skills and experience to ensure high quality administrative and facilities related service delivery to our team of scientists. Working with a small on-site administrative team and as part of a larger national team, this role includes ensuring all compliances are met, our facilities well maintained, and expenditure is contained within budgets. To enable successful delivery of our operating plan, proven capability in project and contract management are also highly desirable.The person best suited to this position will be enthusiastic about providing a stimulating and productive environment and services for knowledge workers in science and technology. They will have well honed interpersonal and organisational skills, model excellent customer service, and exercise sound judgment in their activities and decisions. Additionally, they will be highly ethical and consistent in their dealings with staff, flexible and adaptable, and comfortable with meeting challenges.Landcare Research is a Crown Research Institute (CRI) dedicated to high quality research relevant to the sustainable use of natural resources. The company employs 400 staff at ten locations throughout New Zealand.
