We currently have a 22 hour per week vacancy in our Christchurch team. This vacancy is for a fixed term of 2 years. The person we are looking for will:
- Have active listening and good communication skills
- Have experienced mental illness themselves
- Be positive and encouraging with a good sense of humour
- Enjoy working with and supporting people
- Hang in there when the going gets tough
- Be mature, kind, patient and respectful
- Be able to role model how one can move on from mental illness
- Be a critical reflective thinker
- Have the desire to focus on people’s strengths
- Be able to work independently and as part of a supportive team
- Have a driver’s license and their own vehicle
- Have computer skills, and an on-line home PC
