Auckland Registered Master Builders Association (ARMBA) has an office team of two, and the more junior of those positions is now available for a multi-tasker who gets a buzz out of being part of a small team.Working closely with, and reporting to, the ARMBA Manager, you will be someone who has the specific skills and experience below, and who enjoys dealing with the varied interactions with ARMBA members and the public.Essential attributes and experience are:* proven intermediate level accounts experience using MYOB (will be tested)* advanced MS excel skills* proven debt management ability* ability to produce and speak to high quality financial reports* proven public contact skills* ability to develop and maintain excellent relationships with Board members and other stakeholders* experience in taking accurate and high quality minutes of board meetings* flexibility around, and interest in, assisting the Manager with events like House of the Year, Apprentice of the Year and Annual Golf Day* confidence and ability to deputise for the Association Manager when required* sense of humourThe position is currently part-time, 10am to 4pm on 5 weekdays, and applicants must be prepared to increase those hours to full-time if the needs of ARMBA require a full-time position, following appropriate consultation.Additional hours (usually to 5pm) will be required to be worked on the day of monthly Board meetings, and may also be required when attending branch meetings after hours.In addition to the core responsibilities above, the appointee will be regularly dealing with a range of telephone and in-person queries, and must be able to demonstrate a professional and helpful manner to all callers.A range of normal office administration tasks are part of the Job Description, and must not be ignored, so good time management is essential.To be considered for this position, applicants will need to be willing to deal with a wide range of workplace scenarios: handling complaints; dealing with multiple tasks with tight deadlines; relating confidently with senior industry practitioners; and above all maintaing a calm, flexible demeanour, and “can do” attitude.Remuneration will be commensurate with experience and skills, and will be negotiated with the preferred applicant.Please direct all enquiries/applications to our Employment Advisor, Chris Rowe at: chris.corpdyn@maxnet.co.nzPlease do not contact ARMBA direct.
