Spotless Facility Services (NZ) Limited is one of New Zealands largest support services providers, contracting to thousands of New Zealand clients providing catering, cleaning, laundering, facilities management or health support services.
Spotless, with its large employee base of approximately 10,000 employees provides invaluable, varied and unique employee/industrial relations experiences.We are seeking a highly motivated HR Advisor, to join our passionate and dedicated Employee Relations Team.
The role is Wellington-based, reports to the Employee Relations Manager and provides employment relations support to managers across multiple business units, collective bargaining and correspondence with unions, and providing generalist HR advice to managers in the Central region.
To be successful in this role, you will:
  • Hold a tertiary qualification in Human Resources and ideally have worked in a large unionised company
  • Have a sound understanding and practical experience of best practice employment relations, collective and individual bargaining and union relationship management
  • Have a sound working knowledge of employment legislation
  • Have experience in representing an employer in resolving employment relationship problems
  • Be experienced in providing accurate and timely employment relations advice to managers across all levels of a multi-site organisation
  • Have an understanding of performance management, disciplinary procedures and change management process
  • Have the requisite skills, experience and confidence to deliver formal employment relations based training courses to groups of line managers
  • Be experienced and confident at developing relationships with both internal and external stakeholders at all levels.
