PARKER HANNIFIN one of the leading players in the Australian/New Zealand Industrial market currently has an opportunity for a Territory Manager to support their client network and distributors in Auckland and surrounding areas.
General Characteristics:
Market Parker products in defined geographic territory, using Direct Sales involving face-to-face contact with customers of various types including Franchised, Distribution and Direct/OEM.
Representative Activities:
- Promote the sale of New Zealand marketed Parker Hannifin products through direct representation and in a support role for Distributor / Franchised Sales personnel.
- Develop an understanding of customers needs by examining their operations and function, and working toward Parker product introduction/usage.
- Demonstrate the technical features and advantages of products to customers and potential customers.
- Assist in the preparation of quotations and tenders, follow up client proposals and liaise with their employees in discussion regarding design or process queries with regard to company recommendations.
Qualifications/Education:
- Trade certificate in Mechanical Engineering
- Tertiary Management Training
- Higher studies in Marketing/Management preferred
Experience:
- 2 – 3 years experience in Motion and Control Industry
- Field Sales experience essential
Special Skills:
- Premier Customer Service qualities
- Ability to manage projects and effectively co-ordinate tasks
- Capable of exerting excellent time management skills
- Superior communication skills
