The Tertiary High School at Manukau Institute of Technology is continuously growing and we have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Student Engagement Officer to join our team and provide assistance with the learning process and engagement of the students enrolled in the Tertiary High School.
The ideal applicant will have experience with student management, learner support, restorative justice and pastoral care. This position would ideally suit those with both a genuine interest in/and previous working experience assisting diverse youth.An appropriate tertiary qualification in Youth/Social Work, Counselling or Teaching is preferred.
You will have an outstanding work ethic and interpersonal skills, and enjoy working as part of a team.You will be a confident communicator with youth and possess confidence and sensitivity to liaise with parents and contribute to schools and services centres.
Experience in a secondary or tertiary environment and in-depth knowledge of the cultures represented in South Auckland is required as well as a commitment to providing outstanding customer service. A full drivers licence is essential.
