We are currently looking to appoint an Administration Officer to join the Quality and Academic Development (QAD) team. The role is part-time (0.6, 22.5 hours per week), on a permanent basis.
The Quality and Academic Development team has the following roles:
Operates Academic Board and two of its subcommittees (the Academic Programmes Evaluation Committee and the Results and Awards Committee)
Assists schools to prepare applications for new and changed qualifications, programmes and courses;
Interacts with NZQA and other government agencies for all external quality assurance requirements (approval, accreditation, consents to assess, moderation, external evaluation and review);
Maintains a current repository for all approved qualifications, programmes and courses;
Develops and advises on academic and other educational policy;
Leads the development of institutional capability in evaluative self-assessment.
The main functions of the Administration Officers role include:
Administrative activities both individual and to support the teams activities
Acting as Records Champion for QAD
Publishing and updating information on the QAD Work Area on the Intranet
Involvement with Committees
Maintaining and updating course and programme files
Providing back-up support within the team
The successful applicant will have:
Relevant administrative experience
A methodical approach
High levels of accuracy and enjoy attention to detail
Excellent communication skills (oral and written)
An intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word and Excel)
Minute/note taking experience;
