M.E.C.F. is a state of the art facility providing a safe and secure environment for over 900 prisoners on behalf of NZ Department of Corrections.As a member of the M.E.C.F. team, in the role of Custodial Supervisor you will be responsible for the management of prisoners, supervision of Custodial Officers and coordination and monitoring of the operations of all areas within the prison. Some key responsibilities of this role are;- Supervise and encourage a quality regime for prisoners within all areas.- Supervise and manage the deployment staff and support a positive, pro-active team approach- Oversee the provision of services to prisoners, including program, employment and activities, to encourage an environment of positive interaction between staff and prisoners.Previous experience in a Principal Corrections Officer role or training as a Corrections officer within NZ is preferred. A formal qualification in Offender Management or equivalent is desired. Excellent communication skills are essential in this role as you will be working in a challenging environment.
