We offer a unique service to our clients by facilitating the claims process from initial assessment all the way through to completion. Following the September 2010 and February 2011 earthquakes, a local office has been established which is dedicated to rebuilding Christchurch.
As we near the end of the initial stages of assessment, we are looking to expand our team of Case Managers who administer a portfolio of rebuilds and repairs.
As a Case Manager your role will be to liaise directly with the customer keeping them informed of the progress of their claim and assisting with any queries. You will need to ensure that the client is kept up to date with the status of the claims that you are managing and ensure that all information received from internal and external suppliers is complete and correct.
Daily Tasks:

Maintain a sound knowledge of your assigned caseload and ensure that reviews are carried out regularly in a timely and professional manner;

Have a full understanding of the end to end claims process to enable an informed discussion with customers explaining the next steps and options available to them;

Effectively communicate with internal and external suppliers (Engineers, Assessors, Floor Levellers etc) to obtain necessary information to progress the claim;

You will be required to review both professional quantity surveyor estimates and structural Engineers reports;

Complete full and detailed reviews of your claims and compile formal reports to the Client with your recommendations;

Providing the client and customers with regular updates;

Managing the rebuild and repair process alongside the Project Managers including collating documents for payment recommendations and managing the financials;

Keep an accurate account of time spent on each claim;

Additional tasks as required as our processes evolve.
Skills Required:

Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal;

Computer literate including Lotus Notes and Excel;

Superb organisational and skills;
-
Ability to make justifiable decisions;

Excellent customer service skills, in highpressure environments.
Experience Required:
The successful candidate will ideally have prior knowledge of the construction industry and case or project management experience. Knowledge of insurance principles would be an added benefit however we are looking for candidates from a diverse background.
