Our client, a well regarded Auckland-based pharmaceutical company, is seeking to employ a Validation Officer/Engineer as part of their expanding Validation team. With recent improvements in the plant, the role will be responsible for performing IQ, OQ and PQ across the manufacturing and QC facilities including writing and reviewing associated documentation and overseeing the validation procedures.This is a significant position within the businesss technical team and you will need to hit the ground running, using your 5+ years of process and equipment validation experience to continue to drive the sites need to complete both new and retrospective validation.As such you will have solid knowledge and experience in validation within the pharmaceutical, nutraceutical or dairy industries, particularly in reference to cGMP and/or FDA standards and having some knowledge of 21 CFR part 211, sterile manufacturing and testing.Most importantly you will be friendly and communicative and have the proven ability to build and maintain strong professional relationships, and have the desire to learn.The successful candidate will ideally possess the following attributes:

A relevant tertiary qualification in Engineering/Technology or similar

5+ years process and equipment validation experience

Technical experience in a biotechnology/pharmaceutical, preferably within an engineering environment

Developed communication and organisational skills

Experience with international pharmaceutical validation standards including those maintained by the FDA, USDA, VMD and AQIS (preferred but not essential)

Deliver results within tight deadlines

Provide support and training to staff on validation issues

Liaise with suppliers on engineering issues
