Applications are sought for the position of Director, Ako Aotearoa: National Centre for Tertiary Teaching Excellence. This is a key leadership position within the tertiary education sector and an exciting opportunity to build on the achievements of the Centres first five years.Ako Aotearoa is dedicated to enhancing the quality of teaching and learning outcomes in tertiary education in New Zealand. It provides a range of services including sponsoring and disseminating research on teaching and learning, celebrating effective teaching through a range of awards and forums, providing policy analysis and advice on tertiary teaching and supporting the efforts of institutions and agencies to promote and benchmark teaching effectiveness.Applications are sought from proven managers with demonstrated expertise in driving organisational development and achieving demanding outcomes.Applicants are likely to display the following attributes:
- Academic credibility and a proven research focus,
- Experience working with and reporting to a Board,
- Experience in championing and applying evidence based research,
- Exceptional existing networks and relationship building skills,
