Our client an innovative and leading player within the manufacturing sector, has an outstanding opportunity for aProduction Shift Manager – Afternoon. The role requires a Production shift manager to lead and manage all resources in production, deliver performance excellence,and achieve our clients business objectives. Our client requires a leader with grunt and horsepower to demonstrate strong operations capability whilst simultaneously driving continuous improvement; you havesuccessfully lead continuous improvement projects (Lean/6Sigma/ISO/20Keys). You must be able to demonstrate strong examples.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Support the development and implementation of the production strategy and deliver initiatives that will drive operational and strategic improvements
- Manage the production team up to 20 staff
- Commercial analysis and improvement
- Maintain and establish strong working relationships across the business.
The successful candidate will have:
- Plastics Manufacturing Experience
- Strong People management experience of teams with15 staff plus within a manufacturing environment
- High Volume Manufacturing Environment
- Lean Manufacturing Experience
- Strong Health & Safety compliance experience
- Strong People focus
- Ability to motivate others.
Ideally you will have gained your experience in a large manufacturing organization, preferably in aplastics or packaging environment. You will be a proven performer in the area of effective continuous improvement with exceptional leadership and communication skills.
