GREAT OPPORTUNITY TO TEACH AND TRAVEL!Academics is one of the largest suppliers of classroom and management staff to schools inAbu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates.We currently have a vacancy for a Chemistry Teacher on a two year contract that has just come available in this all boys’ school in Abu Dhabi. You will work in a school offering the internationally recognised, Primary Years Program (PYP) and American Diploma at Secondary level. The school opened in 2005 is blessed with some of the best facilities. You will have access to purpose built laboratories to deliver your lessons. 75% of staff are western trained and a high proportion of the pupils are local students from middle class and upper class families.Selection CriteriaTo be short listed for an interview you must meet the following requirements1. Hold a tertiary teaching qualification specialising in Science (eg. M.Ed, B.Ed, PGCE (with QTS).2. Hold a western passport and have English as your first/native language3. Have a minimum two years full time related teaching experience post qualification4. Be under the age of 55 prior to starting employment. 5. Be in a position to start before the new academic year commences 12 September. Some flexibility will be given around the arrival date.6. Provide details of at least two relevant referees that can be contacted to support your application for work.Salary PackageAn attractive package consisting of the following is being offered to selected teachers1. A tax free monthly salary up to 13,500AED ($3,500AUD/$4500NZD/2300)2. Furnished accommodation and utilities allowance of 500AED p/mth3. Annual return flights each academic year4. Resident work visa5. Government medical cover whilst in the UAE6.
